Originally, the Nebbiolo grape comes from a region in Northern Italy called the Piedmont area. This grape creates a complex and elegant wine with very distinctive aromatic tar, rose, licorice and truffle notes balanced with fruity cranberry and cherry notes. Aged for 24 months in French Oak barrels and bottled aged for 12 months before release, this Italian varietal is heavily tannic in structure which creates a wine that is imminently age worthy. This grape is also used to create Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
Light bodies, dry finish with rich fruit flavor without being heavy or over the top.
