The Guesthouse at Stone Mountain VineyardsLocated on the grounds of one of Virginia's finest estate wineries, the Guest House at Stone Mountain Vineyards offers discriminating patrons a private mountain retreat. Nestled into the woods just above the vineyards, the Guest House offers two private bedrooms. With an additional two twin beds adjacent to the living area, the Guest House can sleep up to six people. Weather is not a concern as the Guest House has central air and heating in addition to the comfortable mountain breezes to be enjoyed on the rear deck. While the Guest House has a stereo for CDs and tapes as well as a number of board games, books and puzzles, it does not have a television or telephone. With the beauty of the vineyards, and the valley below, a respite from these outside influences is welcomed. A short walk along the Estate road leads to Stone Mountain Vineyards winery where guests may receive a private tour and tasting (Friday-Sunday). After enjoying a glass of Cabernet Franc on Stone Mountain's expansive observation deck, you can bring a bottle home to enjoy with a steak grilled on your private observation deck. After dinner you'll be amazed looking skyward from your perch at 1,700 feet. The rural setting ensures great opportunities for wishing on shooting stars. When you retire, you'll drift off to sleep with the gentle sounds of a distant mountain stream working its way down the mountain.
